Born in Houston, TX but raised “on the road”, Tammy began singing with her family at the early age
of 2 ½. Darrell & Barbara, along with their 3 daughters, Darenda, Tammy & Missy continued to travel
throughout the girls' teenage years to countless churches as “The Owens Family Ministries" singing
and Dad did the preaching. In the mid 80's Tammy and her 2 sisters, Darenda & Missy, formed their
own group "The Owens Sisters". They amazed audiences with their sweet blend of harmony. More
recently, the Sisters performed together at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California and
at The Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California (click here for a sample of their country
flare with their rendition of "Never Again, Again").
1987 - 1990 Tammy branched out with her own ministry traveling across the country singing and
conducting "Kids Crusades" in various churches, school assemblies, and on several television
programs & networks including TBN, Nancy Harmon's "Love's Special", Christian Television Network
(CTN) 22 Tampa, The New Inspirational Network, "The 11th Hour", and The ACTS Network.
In 1990 Tammy was a featured soloist in Word Of Faith's Sunday Morning church service televised
live that was number one in its time slot in Dallas, TX. She was a member of "The Success-N-Life
Singers" and was the featured soloist on the daily program that aired on WGN Chicago, BET, KDOC
(CA), & satellite. One highlight was the live broadcast staged right on the water’s edge of the
Mediterranean Sea then sent back to the U.S. via satellite. As the lead soloist in two Musicals at the
Dallas Convention Center, Tammy, the full orchestra, along with the cast & crew of 300, performed to
the live audience and simultaneously broadcast live to over 200 television stations throughout the
United States and Europe.
In 1993 Tammy co-hosted a daily variety television program that began as a local broadcast then was
later distributed to several major markets throughout the U.S. and via satellite.
2001 Tammy's travels led her to Florida where she assisted Jim & Lori Bakker in their new television
ministry they were pioneering at "Camp Of Hope" and is now broadcast live from Branson, MO. Clink
on the link to hear this live performance at Camp of Hope as Tammy encouraged the "Master's
Commission" teens with this original song "The Creator Is Still Creating (Inside Of You)".
2002 marked the year of stepping out into her new future. Everything she had been working towards
would now take a whole new turn. She overcame a major heartbreak and personal battle that could
have been her demise. She rose above the adversity, took on the odds, and started over.
That same year of 2002, Tammy performed at the International Association of Music Ministries (I.A.M.
M.) in Mexia, Texas where she realized the call God placed in her heart as a young girl once again.
With the encouragement of family and friends she began to go back to her roots and re-focus her
efforts.
With the help of some friends, Bryan Rosen, Roger Eaton, and Eric Garton, November of 2004
Tammy finally saw a longtime dream become a reality. She teamed with these very talented and
dedicated musicians and engineers to create her first solo CD entitled, "BEGIN AGAIN". She became
a member of A.S.C.A.P and is now writing songs that, when performed live, literally burst out of her
soul. You will sense the emotion as she sings from her heart and projects the message in her songs.
With the story of her own experiences, and her original songs, she will have you in tears and
you’ll share in the joys as you listen to her sing the words of her life. She has become the
courage that people need to hear.

2008 is a landmark year - dreams became reality and hard work paid off. Over the years I've worked on
many projects and dreamed about building a place where people could come and enjoy time with their
families. Some projects were close to opening and failed while others never left the drawing board. I've
looked at 1,000's of acres of bare land from coast to coast and visualized how it could happen to no
avail. The unachieved plans turned into a distant memory of a dream that once existed and seemed
would never actually happen, until this year!!
I began working for The Irvine Company in 2003 out of necessity. Then, through the course of time,
hard work and dedication, I was promoted to the Resort Properties Division as Executive Assistant to the
President. The team was just being formed that would open and operate one of the finest 5 Star
Resorts in the World, The Resort at Pelican Hill.
Although this is a 140 year old company, well established in the community,
and is a national award winning development company, the Resort Division
was virtually brand new with only 13 employees in the group when I joined
the team. Since March 2003 I'm proud to say I've been instrumental in
building this Division and am a part of this team of professionals that were
brought to Southern California from all over the world. They are the "best in
the world" brought together to open one of the finest Resorts in the World,
"The Resort at Pelican Hill".
The Resort recently opened Thanksgiving 2008 in Newport Coast, California. I've assisted the Executive
Operations team in bringing this magnificent place to life. I was also asked to record the voice messages
describing this pristine location. Click the control on the left to hear my descriptive narrative about this
place that is like no other. It's fulfilling to see something actually come to life that I've been blessed to be
a part of.

The desires and dreams of building a place turned out much different than I envisioned all those years before. Sometimes the
actual outcome of our dreams are different than we imagined. This one is better. I believe the steps of a righteous man (and
woman) are ordered by the Lord. Who am I to question the path God has led me down? I know I am there for many reasons,
some already realized and others yet to come. I have obtained many good friends as we encourage one another in our daily
lives. My Ministry doesn't begin when I walk onto a stage or appear on television and sing my heart out, it's constant and
continual..... every day of my life.
I was taught to "bloom where you're planted". Do the best with what you've been given, excel with the responsibilities placed in
your hands, then God will give you more. He will promote you and put you in the right place at the right time. I'm thankful to have
this opportunity to be a part of this project but more importantly to be in the perfect will of God. I know He has plans for my music
to flourish further and when it does I will proudly say I have been faithful and ready for the amazing things to come.
